Agriculture Program: Cultivating Sustainable Futures

We believe that sustainable agriculture is key to addressing food insecurity and fostering economic stability in the communities we serve.

Our agriculture program aims to empower individuals and families by providing the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to cultivate their own food and improve their livelihoods.

Together we can fight hunger in Liberia using the Foundation for Farming Methods. The first harvest from a 16 square meter cucumber farm produced 7 bags of 25 kg and were immediately purchased by ATS company in Yekepa, Nimba County, Liberia. We guide our farmers in the critical use of Foundation for Farming Methods while teaching other community farmers how to adapt the system. Many thanks to Equipping Leaders International (ELI) and its partners for sharing the knowledge

Promote Food Security

By teaching sustainable farming practices, we enable communities to grow their own nutritious food, reducing dependence on external food aid and ensuring a stable food supply.

In urban and semi-urban areas, we establish community gardens where residents can grow their own produce. These gardens not only improve food security but also foster a sense of community and shared responsibility.

On a cool, overcast day or in the evening to minimize transplant shock, dig holes deep enough to cover the cabbage seedlings’ stems up to the first set of leaves. Space the holes according to your cabbage variety’s recommendations, Gently remove the seedlings from their containers, being careful not to damage the roots, and place them in the holes. Water immediately after transplanting.
